About the Sessions

Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re not sure what to expect, or if you’ve never had counselling before.

This page is here to help you understand how sessions work and whether my approach might be right for you.

I offer humanistic, Gestalt-based therapy in Central London and online, supporting adults with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

A space for you

Therapy with me offers a calm, confidential space where you can talk openly about whatever is going on for you without judgement, pressure, or expectation.

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance or have a clear agenda.
Some people come with a specific issue they want to explore; others simply know that something doesn’t feel right.

We begin wherever you are.

My Approach

Our sessions are centred around your experience and your needs.

Rather than analysing you or offering quick solutions, I support you to:

  • Explore what’s happening in the present moment
  • Notice patterns in thoughts, feelings, behaviours and relationships
  • Develop greater self-awareness and understanding
  • Find ways to respond differently, with more choice and confidence

The therapeutic relationship is central to this work. I aim to offer a warm, supportive presence where you can feel safe enough to explore difficult or confusing experiences.

What happens in a session?

Each session lasts 50 minutes and takes place weekly (or at a frequency we agree together).

Sessions are led by you. You might:

    • Talk about something that’s been troubling you
    • Explore emotions that feel overwhelming or hard to name
    • Reflect on patterns in your relationships or behaviour
    • Notice physical sensations or emotional responses as they arise.

Some sessions may feel emotional; others may feel reflective or grounding. There’s no “right” way for therapy to look, the work unfolds naturally over time.

What I can help with

Anxiety & Depression

Support to understand overwhelming thoughts and emotions, and find steadiness again.

Bereavement & Loss

A safe space to process grief and adjust to life after loss, at your own pace.

Trauma & Phobias

Gentle, paced support to help you feel safer and more grounded in the present.

Relationship Difficulties

Exploring patterns and challenges in relationships with care, clarity and compassion.

Self-Esteem & Emotional Eating

Developing self-understanding and self-worth, without judgement or pressure.

Supporting Family Members with Eating Issues

Emotional support for those caring for or living alongside someone with eating issues.

Short-term or long-term therapy

Some people come to therapy for a short period, focusing on a specific issue or life event.

Others choose longer-term therapy, allowing space to explore deeper patterns and experiences.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. We can review things as we go and adjust the work to suit what feels most helpful for you.

Sessions are £85.00 either in person or online.

A particular area of interest

I have a particular interest in working with family members supporting people with eating issues.

This can be an incredibly difficult position to be in, often involving fear, confusion, frustration and exhaustion.

Therapy offers a space for you to be supported, to explore your feelings, and to strengthen your ability to cope during a challenging time.

Taking the first step

Reaching out for therapy is often the hardest part.
